Well I am still dealing with the blight. The four tomato plants that have been affected have been sprayed with a copper fungicide twice. Once on Monday the 21st and once on Monday the 28th. The fungicide seems to be slowing down the progression of the blight, but not stopping it, at least not yet.
Being the blight is caused by the fungus splashing up from the soil, I am thinking of placing a piece of plastic under each of the plants. This would accomplish two things… to keep the soil from splashing and to warm the soil underneath. Both of these outcomes would be beneficial for the tomatoes.
